Dozens of cities have announced restrictions on property purchases in 2016 and early 2017 as the government tries to cool soaring home prices.

Notes: A 70/90 restriction means the combined gross floor area of residential units smaller than 90 square meters should account for no less than 70 percent of a project. For Chengdu, Suzhou, Jinan, Fuzhou, Zhengzhou, Hefei, Wuhan, Nanjin, Foshan and Nanchang, only some measures are applied to certain districts in the city; Property prices also include affordable housing.
