This a fixed term contract for 2 years accompanied with partner only

The role

Reporting to the Country Director and responsible for the technical leadership of humanitarian work in Liberia, you will contribute to and provide shared leadership and management support to the development, design and delivery of the country strategies, resource mobilisation, programme quality, high risk project management and donor relations and coordinate humanitarian preparedness and responses within Liberia and the region. You will line manage MEAL, Funding Co-ordinator, Advocacy, Gender, Protection, Compliance and Assurance Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation( Wash Consortium) and work closely with technical leads to leverage the integration of campaigning, policy and humanitarian work in all aspects of our programming

 

The Person

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience of emergency and development work, and an understanding of relevant humanitarian and policy issues.
  • Proven strategic planning and strong humanitarian management skills, with an ability to develop and lead others to deliver strategic outputs on both ends of the continuum between humanitarian work and long term development programming.
  • Proven record of effective management of diverse programmes including Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Livelihoods and Private Sector, Gender , Protection, Monitoring, Accountability and Governance
  • Well developed people management and team skills, high self awareness and proven ability to be flexible and sensitive in demanding situations with passion for working with others.
  • Commitment to values of inclusiveness, empowerment, accountability and gender equality
